RDRC Staff Celebrate International Labour Day with a Focus on Professionalism and Service Excellence

Today, the staff of the Rwanda Demobilisation and Reintegration Commission (RDRC) convened for a general meeting in celebration of International labour Day, usually marked on 1st May each year.

The session began with a powerful address by the Secretary General, Mr Francis Musoni, who led a reflective discussion on workplace ethics, professionalism, and the importance of delivering citizen-centred services. The conversation served as a timely reminder of the Commission’s ongoing commitment to integrity and excellence in public service.

Representing the Chairperson of the Commission, Commissioner Fred Nyamurangwa underscored that professional conduct is not optional, but a fundamental responsibility of every staff member. He emphasised that the quality of services provided to the public must remain a top priority at all times.

In honour of this important occasion, staff members also voted to recognise outstanding performance within the institution. Mr Bertrand Ishimwe, serving as Administrative Assistant to the Director of Administration and Finance, was named Employee of the Year 2024–2025, commended for his exceptional professionalism and ethical conduct.
