RDRC Honors Top Employee During International Labor Day Celebration

Kigali, Rwanda — The Rwanda Demobilisation and Reintegration Commission (RDRC) marked International Labor Day 2024 with a vibrant celebration, culminating in the recognition of SENYONI Alphonse as the Best Employee of the Year, the ceremony took place on 31 May 2024 at RDRC headquarters in Nyarutarama.

The event also highlighted the dedication and hard work of the RDRC staff. SENYONI, who has served at the Mutobo Demobilisation Centre in Musanze District since March 1, 2011, has excelled in various roles including Secretary, Storekeeper, and currently, Caretaker.

In his heartfelt speech, SENYONI expressed gratitude for the honor and the support from his colleagues. "I thank RDRC colleagues for giving me this opportunity, and the Mutobo Demobilisation Centre for their trust. I am grateful to my colleagues for their collaboration. I will continue to work with efficiency and productivity," he stated.

SENYONI succeeds Mr. WAMALA Wilson, the human resources specialist honored as the outstanding employee in 2023.

Hon. NYIRAHABINEZA Valerie, RDRC Chairperson, commended the employees for their dedication and hard work. "Our staff's unwavering commitment is the backbone of our success. Their efforts are instrumental in building a stronger nation. I encourage everyone to continue fulfilling their duties with the same level of dedication and enthusiasm," she said.

This year, International Labor Day in Rwanda was celebrated under the theme: "Fostering Youth-Led Employment," reflecting the nation’s focus on empowering young people in the workforce. The RDRC's celebration was a testament to the organization's commitment to recognizing and honoring the exceptional contributions of its employees.
