RDRC Chairperson Concludes a Four-Day Strategic Planning Workshop in Musanze

Hon. Valerie Nyirahabineza, Chairperson of the Rwanda Demobilisation and Reintegration Commission (RDRC), officially concluded a four-day strategic planning workshop held at the Mutobo Demobilisation Centre in Musanze District. The workshop started from 7 until 10 January 2025.

The workshop, attended by 14 RDRC staff members, focused on reviewing the Commission’s 5-Year Strategic Plan (2024–2029) and developing the 2025–2026 Annual Action Plan. Both initiatives are aligned with the national development framework, the National Strategy for Transformation 2 (NST2), underscoring RDRC’s commitment to driving sustainable reintegration programs.

In her closing remarks, Hon. Nyirahabineza highlighted the importance of a citizen-centered development approach, emphasizing that RDRC’s mission is to empower former combatants to rebuild their lives and contribute to the nation’s development.

“There is no doubt that your strategic planning efforts have prioritized the needs of our beneficiaries, aiming to uplift their well-being and ensure a healthier, more productive future,” she remarked.

She praised the workshop participants for their collaborative spirit, underscoring that teamwork is key to meeting RDRC’s objectives.
