RDRC and NGOs Strengthen Partnership to Advance Reintegration and Improve Beneficiaries' Livelihoods

KIGALI, Rwanda – 4 August 2026: The Rwanda Demobilisation and Reintegration Commission (RDRC) this afternoon held a consultative meeting with its non-governmental organisation (NGO) partners to strengthen collaboration aimed at improving the socio-economic wellbeing of the Commission's beneficiaries.

During the meeting, RDRC leadership briefed participants on the Commission's programmes and identified key areas where NGOs can contribute to supporting former combatants through sustainable livelihoods, social reintegration and improved welfare.

Chairperson Mrs Valerie Nyirahabineza, Vice Chairperson Maj Gen (Rtd) Jack Nziza, and the Commissioners welcomed the growing partnership between RDRC and civil society organisations, expressing appreciation for their commitment to supporting the Commission's mission.

The participating NGOs reaffirmed their readiness to work closely with RDRC, pledging to collaborate in delivering meaningful and sustainable support that will help beneficiaries rebuild their lives and contribute to Rwanda's continued peace and development.
