The staff of the Rwanda Demobilisation and Reintegration Commission (RDRC) gathered on Wednesday to pay tribute to the more than one million victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. The commemoration took place at the Kigali Genocide Memorial in Gisozi, during the national 100-day period of mourning under the theme: “Remember – Unite – Renew.”

Hon. Valerie Nyirahabineza, the Chairperson of the RDRC, lays a wreath on behalf of the Commission to honour the over 250,000 victims resting at Kigali Genocide Memorial.
The Flame of Hope is lit in memory of the victims and as a symbol of resilience, renewal, and Rwanda’s path forward.
